This Module adds secure Mail and Single-Sign-On functionality for Mail clients: in the Security and Anti-Spam solutions

and read secure email with Outlook, Thunderbird, iPad, other Mail clients, and Microsoft Exchange, as easily as with
regular email, using
authenticated SSL/TLS SMTP service. Do more with Self-Destruct, Return Receipt and other functions.
There is no plugin, no download, no requirements on any existing plugins, and no
installation. Requires setup. We liked that the user can be set to send messages securely as decided by policy, and
also have the discretion to choose to send any message securely. Pricing: Starts at $4.99 with pay-as-you-go, no subscription,
Premium service, or FREE Basic (personal use). Bundled Desktop, Web, Cloud, and Mobile use. No additional purchase of end-user CA certificates, add-ons, or plugins.Already integrated with: Microsoft Exchange Server, Office, Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Mail, Gmail &
Google Apps, Apple Mail, iPad, and iPhone, Mozilla Thunderbird, and more. Time estimate: after you setup the first account, it should
take no more than a couple minutes to manually setup another account. Setup can also be automated if desired.
ZSentry Desktop (ZSentry for Outlook): improves, secures, and aggregates user's services on the desktop, phone, or web browser.
Without any service changes, users can send, store, and read secure, HIPAA compliant data
on multiple platforms, all at once. User services include email, webmail, SMS, IM, file storage,
and single-sign-on. ZSentry works with leading solutions including Google Apps, Outlook, and iPad.
Outlook is well-known for its reliability and flexibility in corporate use. Although Outlook is not by itself HIPAA-compliant, with ZSentry you can now easily send and receive HIPAA-compliant secure email using Outlook (and other Mail clients). Further, ZSentry for Outlook complies with HITECH Safe Harbor, which reduces liability for everyone and eliminates the requirement of signing a Business Associate Agreement.
ZSentry presents a clean, multi-platform solution to the current email security and usability problems. Rather
than have two, three or more separate user interfaces, customers can choose a single user interface and use it
securely with ZSentry for all platforms. This results in increased simplicity and usability.
For example,
the ZSentry Single-Sign-On (SSO) operation occurs behind the scenes, in-between clicking Send and the email being
actually sent. If the user notices anything, it will be the absence of an intermediate login step.
ZSentry also adds
critical document management functionality (not originally present in Outlook, or Exchange server),
such as Self-Destruct, Return Receipt, and Secure Vault. The Secure Vault copy can be provided with secure off-line access, allowing archived electronic records to be decrypted locally even if there is no network access. These functions
are important in terms of business practices and also HIPAA and regulatory compliance requirements.
How it
Works: After the setup, all you do is click Send. There is no plugin. Any
email and attachments that you send using the ZSentry account in Outlook (or in other Mail Client) are protected by
encryption and authentication before transmission and will be delivered end-to-end encrypted by ZSentry, protected per-message as a secure email. Receiving secure email is also easy: people receive their secure email in their Inbox in Outlook (or other Mail client, or webmail), and read by clicking a link (also by copy-and-paste, or as the sender has defined).
The setup instructions guide you through the steps required
to setup a ZSentry account in Outlook or your Mail Client, to seamlessly send and read secure
email ZSentry Mail (Zmail), also using PKI/X.509 and PGP. The instructions work for
any provider and email address.

Custom Applications: Often, enterprises build custom applications using a
framework such as Microsoft Office, .NET, Java, or others, in various servers and hosts, extending functionality. Enterprises
also often use functionality already built-in, and customize it for a particular business process. Custom Microsoft Office
and other applications can use ZSentry Desktop and ZSentry API to comply with HIPAA and HITECH Safe
Harbor regulations for secure messages and file storage. For example, an Office application can be triggered by some event to
send a confidential message to a group of users, some by secure email and others by secure SMS.
Customer Controlled
Operation: To comply with ITAR and financial services regulations, for example, customers may require exclusive control
of information. ZSentry for Outlook also works with ZSentry Director, which provides local data
handling of all plaintext and first-layer security keys, so that customers can ensure an end-to-end secure tunnel from sender
to recipient and online servers do not know the message.

Benefits:- ZSentry is complementary to the Microsoft Office system, and is standards-compliant so that it operates with all versions of Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, and the Microsoft Office system without changes, plugins, or installation.
- ZSentry makes regular email comply with HIPAA, HITECH Safe Harbor, GLBA, SOA, and financial regulations.
- No HIPAA Business Associate Agreement to
sign.
- Send and receive ZSentry secure email directly with your Mail Client (such as Outlook, Thunderbird, iPad), with the HITECH Safe Harbor benefit of not leaving (even temporarily) a plaintext cache of emails anywhere.
- ZSentry works seamlessly cross-platform for reading & replying, providing intuitive and secure one-click use
with your Mail Client. A first link is marked for web browsers (no setup); a second link opens in Desktop and Mobile
Mail clients (may need setup).
- Your messages can be kept in local files of your choice (such as in the hard disk or
a USB token), which helps preserve offline workflow integration, backup processes, and auditing access.
- The local files can be kept encrypted and/or in plaintext, which reduces the need to login for decryption.
- ZSentry is a "no-target" technology that eliminates the online copy and storage of passwords and keys, thus eliminating major risk factors in protecting servers and clients against breaches due to penetration attacks.
- Your Mail Client may store
both your ZSentry Usercode and Password, to enable automatic service. This is optional and should be
treated securely by your Mail Client, and encrypted, as a secret "password". The very large variety of the ZSentry
Usercode, with unpredictable values, will further help protect and harden your ZSentry Password from brute force
attacks, as an attacker would have to guess both correctly at the same
time.
- The ZSentry SMTP server starts SSL before any data is exchanged, and never uses
plaintext.
- Uses two-factor authentication and certifies both your Name and Email Address before a message is
sent or read.
- Encrypted Address Book with automatic key management.
Reviews ZSentry Desktop works with Apple Mailby Jay Luxenberg, M.D. I use zmail to send private medical records, and keep them private. Everyone who opened my zmails was satisfied with how easy it was to use. I think that zmail serves a real need in my profession. Works with Outlook and Outlook Expressby Vince D.
We were looking for a 'secure email' option. We are dealing with Dr.'s who will not want to read a bunch of disclaimers and instructions. All we want them to do is click a link and the message opens. We were very excited to get this in our hands and start integrating your secure/encrypted email service into our product. I need to spend a little time customizing the "skin" and what things say, but I have things working. We think this service will add significant benefits to our application and users.
About Desktop Mail Clients: - Thunderbird is an open source, free, email messaging system developed by Mozilla Messaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mozilla (developers of the web browser Firefox).
